"The Three River Democratic Men's Group has changed its name by
unanimous support of its members at the last dinner in Surry and
supported by its members in follow-up in March.
"We are now the Three River Democratic Activists. We are also
submitting the proper paperwork to become a PAC. The purpose of the PAC
is to raise money for Democratic challengers ... not incumbents
... challengers.
"Our mission is still grassroots in origin and still trying to
create an avenue for regional support or non-support as it were for
issues that effect us all, i.e.: transportation, mental health,
environment, growth etc.
"Through these efforts we will try to bring our leaders to the
front so they may get exposure thru articles, dinners, forums and
rallies."
