Fellow Democrats:

Although the election isn’t until November 4 our candidates have been hard at work for months now raising funds, getting their teams together, developing their positions and walking door to door.  They are off to an excellent start and deserve our full support.

Many committee members have come through with checks, hosting meet-and-greets and volunteering their time.  We have five strong, experienced candidates who can win.  Here is our chance to make a difference.  If you can host a gathering for a candidate to meet your neighbors or would like to volunteer for a campaign please give me a call at 564-8702 or email me at ralph.bresler@gmail.com.

Our candidates also need our financial support.  The committee was able to make $3,800 in contributions in late May thanks to Marilyn Perlman’s work organizing another successful banquet.  If you can send a check, even a small one, to a candidate it would be greatly appreciated.  Addresses are given below.

“More and more, with Bush administration pronouncements about the Iraq war, it depends on what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is.

“W. built his political identity on the idea that he was not Bill Clinton….He was the Texas straight shooter.

“So why is he now  turning the White House into a Waffle House, where truth is camouflaged by word games and responsibility is obscured by shell games?....

“Dissembling over peccadillos is pathetic. Dissembling over pre-emptive strikes is pathological, given over 200 Americans dead and 1,000 wounded in Iraq, and untold numbers of dead Iraqis….

“Out of office, the Bush crowd mocked the Clinton propensity for stonewalling; in office, they have stonewalled the 9/11 families on the events that preceded the attacks, and thetion into the Iraqi war….

"The Bush administration has known all along that the evidence of the imminent threat of Saddam's weapons and the Al Qaeda connections were pumped up. They were manning the air hose."
