Welcome to our web
site!
The James City
County Democratic Committee focuses on identifying and supporting
Democratic candidates for local office and the Virginia Legislature.
We have good speakers at our meetings on topics such as politics, the
health care crisis, and the rampant growth in James City County.
Email me at

The recent election
was a disappointment with a big win by the Republicans after a string
of Democratic victories. However, all
Democrats running in James City County won. Robin Abbott was one of
only two Democrats to pick up a Republican seat in the House of
Delegates, where the Republicans increased their majority. Delegate
Bill Barlow was reelected by a 4 point margin in a tough race.
Supervisor Jim Icenhour got 70% of the vote against a last minute
stealth write in opponent, validating his limited growth approach.
Supervisor John McGlennon was unopposed.
We will have a
candidate to run against Representative Wittman in the upcoming
Congressional election.
The
best way to keep up with our activities is through the emails I send
out. You can sign up on this web site, or email me at
